Girls get into golf
18 Girls from the Cookridge Hall Golf Academy, aged from 5 to 13, got together on the 2nd of April to put into practice the skills they have been learning in the Academy during the winter.
Unfortunately the snow meant that the girls couldn’t go on the course. Instead they competed in skills events on the driving range and then retired to the clubhouse for a junior quiz before testing their putting skills. The two hour session finished with burger and chips and, as you can see on the picture, a toast to Paul O’Donnell.
Paul, who along with Junior Organiser Ray Agar, arranged the event was really happy with the way it went. He said ” The idea was to get all the girls together to get to know each other better as they all have lessons in different groups. It has created a real team spirit and we will now arrange other events during the major school holidays to keep the girls involved and get them out on the course to improve their game”.
